HEAD COACHES/UMPIRE MEETING— Both coaches and umpires will shake hands before every game. PLAYERS/COACHES/ASSISTANCE--- After every game, players and coaches will line up and shake hands. They will all move to the circle for the chant/cheer. Coaches will not leave their players until they have exited the playing field. COACHES--- If you need to speak with an opposing coach about any issue, you must take it off the field and after your players have been released. The only exception is thru the umpire as a discussion if it cannot wait or may be something putting a player in danger. (Never approach another coach at their dugout about any issue after game-time is called or before game-time ends and players have been released.) The Home Team will take the 1st base dugout (No exceptions) The Visiting Team will take the 3rd base dugout (No exceptions) An extra field umpire {approved by the board} will umpire in addition to the regular plate umpire. All coaches and assistant coaches will be required to help umpire outside of their division. SPRING SEASON- will be 1 hour – not to exceed 1 hour 30 mins. No inning is to begin after 1 hour and 20 mins. At the end of the 1 hour and 30 min. time limit, it becomes drop dead. The official game ends and the score is determined by the score at the end of the previous inning where the Home Team received their last bat. FALL SEASON-Games will be 1 hour – not to exceed 1 hour and 15 min. No inning is to begin after 1 hour. At the 1 hour and 15 min. time limit it becomes drop dead. If a game is called early due to weather, acts of God, or any other reason and at least 4 innings have been completed, the game will be final. If the game is called after that 4 th inning, during an inning, the official score will be determined by the score at the end of the previous inning. Games will be restarted if the first inning has not been completed. Proper Game Attire- Jerseys with Dark colored pants. No shorts are allowed. If there is a shortage of core players for a game not properly attired, pool players may be used as long as they wear the proper attire. Pool players are not allowed to occupy any positions in the infield. At no time may a team substitute a pool player on their official roster. If no pool players are available to play, the game is forfeited. A coach may play a game with 6 core players and up to 3 pool players. If pool players are not available a coach may elect to play with five core players. Be aware that this is a maximum of players. If you elect to play with less players, like 4. and you have 3 on base and your next batter strikes out, the inning will end

regardless of outs. The pitching mound will be 40’ from home plate. The balls used will be 12” in size. In the event an umpire calls ball 4 on a batter, the coach of the batting team will pitch one to three balls. In the event the batter does not swing or strikes out on these three pitches the batter is out. If the batter hits the ball, then normal game play continues. If the final pitch is fouled off, then pitching by the coach will continue until the batter does not swing, strikes out or hits the ball. The coach pitcher will also pitch from the 40’ mound, keeping one foot on the mound until ball is released. The Player Pitcher must have both feet inside the circle when the coach is pitching. Any Coach that is elected to pitch, fill in or otherwise MUST sign a Code of Conduct. Stealing is permitted only after the ball leaves the player pitcher’s hand. early will be called out. Runners leaving base

The infield fly rule is in effect. No Metal Cleats allowed. The dropped 3rd strike rule is in effect. Each team will field 9 players and bat the entire lineup. You may substitute bench players during the game, but you must maintain the original batting order. The official batting line up should be presented to the opposing coach and the umpire before the game begins. Runners must slide or avoid contact if a play is made at home plate otherwise the runner will be called out. This is solely at the discretion of the home plate umpire The look back rule is in effect. Batters hit by a pitch, whether the ball strikes the ground or hit’s the batter while in flight, will be awarded first base. The batter must make an attempt to avoid the pitch, and this will be determined at the discretion of the home plate umpire. The mercy rule is in effect: 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings, 8 runs after 5 innings in the bottom of those innings. The 6 run limit will apply in all innings.
