Wartburg Girls Basketball Camp June 4-6 Wartburg Levick Arena Cost – $45
Players entering 7-9th grade 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (check-in begins at 10:30 a.m.)
Players entering 4-6th grade 9-10:30 a.m. (check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.)
CAMP INSTRUCTORS Bob Amsberry was named head coach at Wartburg in March 2006. He’s guided the Knights to seven Iowa Conference tournament berths, including a spot in the 2008-09 championship game. Prior to Wartburg, he led Rockford College to three conference championships and four trips to the NCAA tournament.
Nate Oakland completed his third season as an assistant coach at Wartburg. He previously served as an assistant at the University of Northern Iowa, the University of Minnesota at Morris, and Coe College. He also spent time as the head coach at Hudson High School.
Greg Bodensteiner completed his seventh year as the head coach at Waverly-Shell Rock. His teams have won four consecutive Northeast Iowa Conference championships and qualified for the state semi-finals in 2012-13. Bodensteiner was an assistant coach at Bellevue West (NE) for five years before coming to W-SR.
Join us for three days of basketball skills development. There will be fundamental skill instruction, individual and team contests, team play, and lots of fun! We will focus on teamwork, discipline, work ethic, and listening skills. There will be T-shirts, awards, and prizes!
