FAQ
Alcohol Requirements/Regulations:
Alcohol consumption is restricted to inside Alerus Center only; there will be no alcohol brought from the Canad Inns or vice versa; per City of Grand Forks guidelines, we do not allow the consumption of alcohol in Alerus Center parking lots; Grand Forks Police Department routinely patrols Alerus Center grounds during arena and convention center events and will issue citations or make arrests at their discretion.
Arrival:
You may schedule your arrival for decorating as early as 10 a.m. on the event day. An additional fee of $100/hour will apply if you would like to arrive earlier than 10 a.m.
Closing:
Event should conclude no later than 1 a.m. Bars will close at 12:30 a.m.
Contract:
A non-refundable room deposit of $1,000 is required upon contracting your event.
Decorations:
Decorations must be out of the room no later than 2 a.m. or you may incur additional fees. Decorations left behind will not be saved. Glitter & Confetti are not allowed.
Nails, pins, and staples are not allowed– damages may result in additional charges. Non-residue tape or mat tape are acceptable alternatives. Mat tape can be purchased from Alerus Center. Candles: • When lit, the tip of the flame of candle must not come within one inch of the top of the candle holder. • Must be approved by your sales professional a minimum of one week prior to the wedding. Helium balloons are not allowed in any part of Alerus Center without a previously signed waiver. You will be responsible for any charges that are incurred for retrieval and cleanup of the balloons.

Food:
Food selections must be decided six weeks prior to your wedding date.
Guest Count:
An estimated number of guests attending your wedding will be due two weeks prior to your wedding date. Set up a meeting with your sales associate three days before your wedding date to give your guaranteed guest count.
