INTRODUCTION: According to the Bible, believers can be confident that their prayers will be answered. Our prayers are more than wishes, hopes or dreams—but only if we pray with believing, faith-filled hearts. That is the kind of prayer that moves mountains. In this week’s sermon and Connexion Group Lesson will address the question: How do you pray a prayer so filled with faith that it can move a mountain? OPENING DISCUSSION QUESTIONS When you pray in the face of a “mountain,” where do you usually focus your attention?  on the problem  on my own inadequacy  on the solution  on the Lord  I avoid “mountains”  other __________________________ What mountain has God moved for you in answer to prayer?

Where Jesus was approached, where was the focus of the father’s faith or prayer?

5. Do you think that first-century Christians were more inclined to believe in God’s power than do Christians today? Explain.
