What Would Fay Do? Supporting the Foundation at Convention Even though the Foundation was established after Fay’s time, she would surely want to participate in all of the Foundation’s activities. She would want to learn everything she could about the Foundation and how it serves our sisters.
Fay Would… Stop by the Foundation Table at Registration There you will meet our Board of Directors. You will also be able to check out many of the fabulous items we will be offering to the highest bidder at the auction and the cool prizes available through our raffle at the Foundation dinner on Friday night. Fay Would… Send Someone a "Heart to Heart" Fay would certainly send a “Heart” to each of her chapter sisters, our nine other Founders! When you send a "Heart" to someone at Convention, she will receive a personal message from you and also a double-heart appliqué to wear on her nametag. This is a perfect opportunity to say "thank you" to chapter sisters and community volunteers while supporting the Foundation! Fay Would… Call All Phi Sigs to Serve Phi Sigs live our Twin Ideals at Convention by bringing items in support of the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation service project. This year, Foundation will be supporting the USO of Hampton Roads, Va., and a local women’s shelter for victims of domestic violence. We are collecting phone cards to send to our troops and used cell phones to benefit the women’s shelter. You can support these important programs by bringing your used phones and new phone cards to the Foundation registration table upon arrival.
Fay Would… Support the Foundation Auction & Raffle We invite you (and your collegiate or alumnae chapter) to help us make the Foundation dinner, auction and raffle even more successful by donating a gift to be raffled or auctioned to the highest bidder. Great ideas from previous auctions include: • • • •
Ritual items (e.g., candlesticks, vase, bible cover, gavel, ritual table cloth, etc.) A basket filled with goodies from your home state or region (e.g., “California Dreamin',” etc.) Unique Phi Sigma Sigma items made by your chapter (e.g., banner for recruitment, etc.) Other special items (e.g., airline tickets, vacation packages, golf outings, etc.) Be sure to ask your non-Phi Sig friends and local businesses for donations too!
► Alumnae are also asked to bring a wrapped gift, valued at approximately $10, for the Foundation raffle. Thanks in advance!
