WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PROM DATE: Saturday, May 13th TIME: 8:00p – Midnight THEME: Roaring 20’s/Great Gatsby LOCATION: Tenroc Ranch – 5471 Thomas Arnold Rd, Salado, TX 76571 All FHS students attending must be in “Good Standing.”
GOOD STANDING A student in “Good Standing” must: 1. Satisfy the attendance requirement for credit (both 1st and 2nd semester) 2. Owe NO financial, material or service debt to FHS or FISD (this includes class dues) All fines (lunch/library) and class dues must be paid before you receive an invitation to prom. 3. Have completed all discipline requirements. 4. Not be currently assigned to DAEP or JJAEP. 5. Must be passing all courses. This will be based on grades from the report card for the 3rd 9 weeks (mailed out March 23rd). If you are not passing a class on this report card, you can also regain eligibility to attend the prom on the next progress report period (which ends Friday, April 7th). Juniors and seniors who are in good standing will receive an invitation with a copy of all prom rules and a contract that requires the student signature, parent signature, guest signature, and the signature of the guests’ school administrator verifying good standing. Outside Guests Must Meet the Following Qualifications: * A student’s guest that is an FHS graduate must be no older than 19 years old. * All other guests must be currently attending high school, have prior approval of the principal and be no older than 18 years old. If you are bringing a guest (either a student from another school, someone who has already graduated from FHS, or a freshman or sophomore from FHS), you will be charged $20.00 for your guest.
DRESS CODE BOYS * Must wear long pants/slacks with appropriate dress shirt. * Must continue to meet all regular school dress code requirements. GIRLS * No dress (back out) below waistline or cut so low to reveal bust line. * Short Formal Dresses/Skirts must be in dress code. * No see-through garments * Must continue to meet regular school dress code requirements. EXCEPTIONS * Male guests/dates from other high schools or out of high school may have facial hair or hair length requirement waived provided grooming is clean and neat. * Boys may wear dress hats – NO CAPS * Strapless formal dress or formal dress with straps with less than one inch are allowed provided they meet the requirements above. If there is any possibility that the attire of a student or his/her guest will not meet the required dress code, have it checked by sponsors or administration at least one week prior to prom.
