Level II Module Removal and Replacement All numerical part designators refer to the diagram below. 1. Ensure that all power is removed from the product before performing any maintenance / servicing. 2. Carefully remove both segment screws (1) with a straight-blade (flat head) screwdriver. Hold the segment in place while removing screws to ensure that the other segment components (2-8) do not fall. 3. Remove segment lens (3), collimator (4) and spacer contacts (5). Again, use caution to ensure that these parts are not lost. 4. Remove the Level II LED module (6) that you wish to replace and set it aside. 5. Inspect the insulator cones (7) and o-rings (2 and 8) for excessive wear or damage. If any of these parts are damaged, it will be necessary to replace the damaged part(s). (See your Authorized 911EP Dealer for replacement parts.) 6. Replace the segment components in the opposite order of their removal (refer to the diagram below, if necessary). 7. When inserting the replacement Level II LED module (6), ensure that the LEDs face the lens (3) and that the module registration hole aligns with the collimator registration pin (9) at the upper left side of the module. 8. When replacing all components of level two modules, ensure that the recessed groove on the contact spacer(s) accepts and protects the portion of the insulator (7) which extends beyond the Level II LED board. 9. After all parts have been replaced in proper order, tighten the segment screws (1) to a torque value of 16 ± 1 inch-pounds.

Tightening the segment screws outside of the specified torque value may result in equipment damage.

6 8 4 3

7

5 9

Take care to ensure that the insulator cones (7) are replaced facing the proper direction to fit snugly into the LED module (6).

2

1

Do not apply operational voltage (+12V) directly to a single LED module (6). LED modules are designed to withstand no more than +9V. Doing so may damage the LED module and void its warranty.
