How many funded startups include women…. 1) As an execuRve team member? 15% (about 795 companies) 2) As the CEO?
2.7% (about 140 companies)
If not CEO, then what? 1) In addiRon to lack of female CEOs, there’s also a lack of diversity among female leadership 2) Women choose CFO, CHRO, General Counsel, or Sales and MarkeRng instead of CTO or head of Product Development

Ok, so why aren’t more female entrepreneurs being funded? 1) Investors have an implicit bias towards funding companies that “look” like previous successes 2) This leads to major lack of support, financially and otherwise 3) But the biggest reason: women aren’t pitching VCs.

What this all means for female entrepreneurs 1) Be aware, and be CONFIDENT 2) There are jerks out there. Ignore them and move on 3) Know your company inside and out
