Women’s Spring Retreat ~This Hope We Have~ 1 Pet 3:15 ‘But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have’
Retreat Theme & Overview: Our theme, ‘This Hope We Have’ is from 1 Peter 3:15 ’But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have ‘ We’ll focus on the Hope we have in Christ Jesus and the directive He gives us to always be ready to share the reason for our hope. We’ll explore this with our Main Speaker, Charlotte Stemple, inspirational God Stories given throughout the weekend, Workshops, Dramas, Worship, and a presentation from one of our International Workers. You’ll also enjoy activities in the evenings and Saturday during our free time such as an ice cream social, walking scenic trails, canoeing, archery ($3 charge), games, or just relaxing in a quiet area. You will be blessed by this time of relaxation, renewal and restoration. Hope to see you there…
Is this retreat for me? We plan our retreat to appeal to women of all ages and we encourage teens 9th grade and up to join us as well. We have workshops and activities just for them. You do not have to attend an Alliance Church and Michindoh is handicap accessible.
About our Speaker... Our speaker this year, Charlotte Stemple, comes highly recommended by several ladies who have heard her speak and are quite excited to hear her again. Charlotte has been serving the Lord for 5 decades. Graduating with her Nurses degree in 1961, she married her husband of 53 years, Woody Stemple. They served as Missionaries in Vietnam from 1964-1974 and from 19741980 in Malaysia, returning to the states in 1981 where Woody pastored and Charlotte became a key presence with Alliance Women (now Great Commission Women). Among her various roles, she’s been District President, National Vice President, and National President for Alliance Women. Needless to say, she is a wise and Godly woman, humble and willing to go wherever God leads her and I’m told she’s got a great sense of humor as well.
