A  LETTER  FROM  THE  PRESIDENT   Happy  Spring  from  Gamma  Mu!  We  are  anxious  and  excited  to  start   our  last  quarter  b efore  summer.  This  last  term  we  made  it  a  priority  to   increase  our  chapter’s  overall  GPA.  W e  successfully  achieved  this  goal  and   increased  our  GPA  to  a  3.12  exceeding  the  OSU  all  women’s  average  of  a  2.77   GPA.  On  an  individual  level  we  are  happy  to  announce  Katie  Kohler,  a   sophomore  in  Gamma  Mu,  was  recognized  at  our  termly  Panhellenic   Scholarship  Banquet  and  awarded  Panhellenic  Scholar  of  the  Term.  Aside   from  being  Kappa  Geniuses’  this  winter,  we  participated  in  informal   recruitment.  We  enjoyed  participating  in  informal  recruitment  and  cannot   wait  to  start  the  spring  process.  We  are  planning  to  initiate  all  new  members   from  both  winter  and  spring  informal  before  summer.  Gamma  Mu  is  ready  to   show  these  women  how  special  and  meaningful  the  initiation  process  is  for   Kappa  Kappa  Gamma.  We  have  been  busy  inside  our  chapter  improving   academics  and  participating  informal,  b ut  also  focusing  on  community   involvement.  I  am  always  amazed  b y  how  involved  each  m ember’s  desire  to   give  back  to  the  community.  This  last  winter  we  also  planned  multiple   sisterhoods.  One  of  our  sisterhoods  was  a  Derby  Days  themed  brunch  and  we   also  attended  an  Oregon  State  women’s  gymnastics  meet.  We  are  continuing   to  plan  and  appreciate  our  sisterhood  events  as  it  gives  us  an  opportunity  to   grow  closer  to  our  Gamma  Mu  sisters.  As  spring  term  is  here  we  plan  to  keep   ourselves  busy  with  the  perfect  balance  between  academics,  community   involvement,  and  sisterhood.     Haleigh Shadley

INFORMAL  RECUITMENT   It  has  been  eight  years  since  Gamma  Mu  participated  in  Informal  Recruitment  on   the  Oregon  State  campus.  W e  w ere  proud  to  extend  four  bids  to  new  members.   We  are  continuing  w ith  the  informal  recruitment  process  with  Panhellenic   Spring  Term.  This  process  will  began  March  31st  and  go  until  the  end  of  April.
