CTG/XTC Scramble- Many Paths, One Road to Victory The CTG/XTC Scramble is an OCR event like no other before in history. This will be an Obstacle Course Race minus the ‘Course’. Yes, you read that right! There will be no course, in the traditional sense of the word. There will be obstacles and it will be a wild race to the finish. To complete the scramble, you’re going to need as much strategy and mental sharpness as you will strength, endurance, speed, and obstacle skills! All the CTG obstacles will be set up in a large field area with paths between them and leading to the centralized start/finish corral area. All athletes will start the race in the centralized start/finish corral area. When the gun is fired, the scramble is on! Athletes may attack the obstacles set out before them in any order they desire. Complete all the obstacles, return to the centralized start/finish corral area, ring the bell and you win! Read on for detailed rules! ELITE SCRAMBLE RULES -

To be eligible to compete in the CTG/XTC Scramble, athletes MUST have registered and completed (crossed the finish line) the CTG/XTC 10k course on Saturday, September 30. All Athletes must be registered for the Sunday Scramble prior to the start of the Scramble. All CTG obstacle completion rules apply to this race as they would any other CTG event. At the start of the race, all athletes will exit the centralized start/finish corral area and begin performing obstacles in any order they desire. It is on you to keep track of which obstacles you have completed as you move through the course. Athletes must remain on the marked and mowed trails leading to and from obstacles and leading to the centralized start/finish corral area. Athletes leaving the marked paths may be disqualified. Athletes may move between obstacles on the marked and mowed trails while deciding which obstacles to complete. Example: If you run to Pegatron and there is a line, you may run on the trail to another obstacle without returning to the centralized start/finish corral. In the same way, if you try and fail an obstacle, you may move to another obstacle without returning to the start/finish area. When you believe that you have completed ALL obstacles on the course, you will return to the start/finish area and ring the bell, at which time an official will check your score sheet and verify that you have completed all obstacles. Placement will be determined by ringing the bell and receiving verification that you have completed all obstacles. Athletes may carry a scorecard of their own if desired, but this card must travel with you throughout the course and through the obstacles, as with any other apparel or supplemental material. The Elite Scramble will consist of one wave beginning at 9:00 am, Sunday, October 1. Because of the nature of this event, spots are VERY limited and once it is SOLD OUT, there will be no one else allowed to enter the wave. No exceptions. Sign up now.

Athletes will have until 10:30 am to complete all obstacles. The course will close and be cleared at 10:30 am. Athletes should continue competing even if they believe podium placement has been determined, as we will need to verify all obstacles have been completed by the podium athletes. If an athlete rings the bell to signify they have completed all obstacles, but it is determined that they have not done so, that athlete may continue to compete and attempt to complete any obstacle they have not yet. Example: Athlete 1 rings the bell, as his score card is being verified, Athlete 2 rings the bell. It is determined that Athlete 1 has not completed all obstacles, it is determined that Athlete 2 has completed all obstacles. Athlete 2 has beaten Athlete 1. Further, if Athlete 1 rings the bell, then finds out he has not completed all obstacles and is off completing them and Athlete 2 rings the bell and his scorecard is verified, then Athlete 2 has beaten Athlete 1. You have completed the course when you ring the bell, not when you complete the final obstacle. Podium Awards will take place at 10:30 am. Prize Money will be awarded as follows: o First Place Male: $500 o Second Place Male: $300 o Third Place Male: $150 o First Place Female: $500 o Second Place Female: $300 o Third Place Female: $150
