Yorkville High School Cheerleading Summer Camp Beginning a Tradition, That is our Goal! July 24, 25, 26, 2018 Location: ACES Gym or Yorkville High School Academy Gym (2377 Autumn Creek Blvd or 702 Game Farm Rd.)
Cheer camp is split into three sessions. The campers will be instructed in Cheerleading basics including stretching, jumps, cheer, dance, and stunting for appropriate levels. Tumbling is not covered at YHS Cheer camp in sessions 1 and 2. All campers should bring water and come dressed ready to participate (gym shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt). Each camper will receive a summer camp t-shirt to be worn the last day of the camp for the all-camp performances.
Campers should sign up by grade level entering in the fall of 2018. SESSION 1: Grade Levels K, 1, 2, 3, 4 Tuesday 7/24 check in starts at 7:30, camp 8:00-10:00am Wednesday 7/25camp 8:0010:00am Thursday 7/26 camp 8:00-9:15am with performances 9:15-10:00am

Campers will be separated into groups by grade level. They will learn introductory cheer skills as well as a group cheer and dance. This routine will be performed on the last day of camp. The campers will also have the opportunity to perform at half time of a home sophomore YHS football game (September 7th). This performance is ONLY for girls who attended camp. The game begins at 5:15pm; the campers should arrive at the football field by 5:15/5:30pm wearing their camp t-shirts. They should meet the cheerleaders near the South end of the field outside of the fence. After halftime, the girls should meet their parents in the same area where they were dropped off.
