Art – Mayan murals, clay figurines of Mayan gods and collage of a planet.
Literacy – Stories from other cultures, explanation texts, journalistic writing, performance poetry, science fiction, slam poetry and flashbacks.
Music – Year 4/5 Miss Westbrook – drums Year 5 – Miss Amess - Ukulele Year 6 – Reflect, rewind, replay
French –French conversation.
In Mathematical Understanding we will be covering… Place Value, all four rules of multiplication, division, addition and subtraction, fractions, word problems, shape including perimeter and capacity.
In Scientific and Technological Understanding we will be covering… Science – Earth and Space
In Historical, Geographical and Social Understanding we will be covering… The Mayan civilisation, compare and contrast Mayan and modern day values and beliefs. Understanding that the Mayans came from Mexico and develop understanding of Mexican geography.
In Understanding Physical Development, Health and Well Being we will be covering…
