As you may be aware, the national GCSE qualification grades are changing in the summer of 2016 from awarding pupils grades from A*-G to grades from 9-1. Changes are also occurring too in the primary school sector where levels will no longer be used to track progress and no longer reported to secondary schools or parents at the end of Year 6. Traditionally at Studley High School, levels have been used in reported to parents, during Key Stage 3, to indicate progress and attainment in all subjects and A*-G grades during Key Stage

More about GCSE ● Under the new system, a ‘good pass’ - currently a C grade - will become a grade 5. The new ‘good pass’ is comparable to a high C or low B under the current system – making it comparable to the standard aimed for by pupils in top-performing countries such as Finland, Canada, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Homework
Homework policy Homework is a vital part of your child’s education. It provides opportunities to further their understanding of work they have done in class and also enables them to develop important skills such as the ability to study and work independently. Homework is set regularly and via realsmart. http://www.studleyhighschool.org.uk/parents/homework-timetable/ https://homework.realsmart.co.uk/homework/learner#/learner/login You will receive access details in January and sessions will run to further support parents next term. Please note - any concerns over homework should be directed to a class teacher first and then moved to a Head of Department if further questions arise. Homework App should complement use of the school planner.
