ZONAL/INTERSECTIONAL COACHES RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMER NATIONAL TEAM COACHING OPPORTUNITIES
The USTA/Mid-Atlantic Section is searching for qualified individuals to coach top-ranked juniors at Zonals, 14s and 16s Intersectionals, and BG18s National Team Competitions. Coaches must be USPTA or USPTR certified and/or a College/University Coach and/or have participated in the USTA High Performance Coaches Education Program, and should have at least two (2) years of coaching experience with High Performance juniors. To be considered, coaches MUST COMPLETE a Background Check and take the TEAMUSA Safe Sport Training Module and review the USTA’s definition of prohibited conduct and procedures for reporting and responding. Coaches will receive $110/day Stipend; hotel accommodations; travel and meal stipend; and team shirts. A case of tennis balls is provided for practice purposes. The following dates may not include the travel to and from event.

Supervise and coach team members during competition. Follow team line-up submitted by USTA/MAS. No alterations are to be made without approval. Attend coaches meetings and all activities related to all Team Events. Organize a team meeting with players to review schedule, events, team rules and tournament regulations. Schedule and oversee practice sessions. Team Photo and media reports Organize one team activity on a free evening (OPTIONAL). Encourage all team members to participate in all scheduled activities. Coaches are not required to chaperone, unless specified in advance. Coach team during competition Report results and al disciplinary incidents to Section Office
Please note tournament restrictions pertaining to apparel. All white must be worn for afternoon practices/matches at some locations. Team uniforms must be worn for team photos.

Transport team members to and from tournament airport, hotel and tournament site. Arrange meals. Chaperone players. Follow team line-up as provided by USTA/MAS. Encourage all team members to participate in all scheduled activities. Supervise and coach team members during competition. Report results to USTA Mid-Atlantic Section During Event – Pictures; Media Deliver players to return transportation following the competition.
