A word from School Council ...
Dear families, This week school councillors from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 went to the Houses of Parliament. We saw where the Queen arrives and gets ready for the state opening of parliament including her private toilet! Did you know that different colours mean different people? Gold is for the queen, red is for the Lords and green for the House of Commons. Although we got to see the House of Lords we weren’t allowed to sit down because the seats are only for the Lords. There were a huge number of police to guard the central gates. We thought Westminster Hall looked a bit like Hogwarts - it was our favourite bit. We found out that it got burnt down 3 or 4 times and rebuilt. The House of Commons and school council are the same because both we are elected and so are the MPS who are in the House of Commons. by Tom and Trixie (Coral class school councillors)

As you will see in the ‘Dates for the diary’ section on the front of the newsletter, we have our Spring term Parent-Teacher meetings scheduled for 28th and 29th March. These are a really important way to discuss how your child is progressing at home and at school and we aim to have 100% attendance at these meetings. We do appreciate your attendance on these two evenings so please do make a note of the dates and look out for the appointment time sheets that we send home nearer the time. If you do not return the form on time or give us a requested appointment time then we will give you a time slot, everyone’s time is precious so we do appreciate your attendance at the given times. Thanks for your support.
