radled by France as it faces out towards the shimmering Mediterranean, the principality of Monaco has drawn the international glitterati for more than a century. Its capital, Monte-Carlo, is a world-famous symbol of glamour, home to the famous Casino Square, luxurious shops, and palatial hotels. This year marks its 150th anniversary, which it will celebrate in fine style. Concerts, festivals and events are scheduled to take place across the city. And if all that culture and socialising gets to be too much, you can always retreat to the turquoise waters and immaculate sandy beaches of Larvotto, zone out amid the hills and waterfalls of the Japanese Garden or sit back and smell the roses at Roseraie Princesse Grace. A luxurious hydrotherapy treatment at the Thermes Marin Spa should also help you relax amid the events.
