HAT DAY - FCCLA will be selling hat day stickers for a $1.00 in the CTE building on Fridays. See Mrs. Vance to purchase your sticker. ATTENTION STUDENTS – Reminder - Bandannas and blankets are not allowed. CLOTHING DRIVE – DCHS is having a clothing drive. We are in need of gently used or new items. Boxes will be labeled and set up in the HS hallways. Our focus is on elementary and Middle School sizes. Collections will end Nov. 17th. Vance’s Vittles – Wednesday & Thursday Vance’s Vittles Group Two will meet Wednesday & Thursday of next week. SCHOOL PICTURES - School picture retakes will be Nov.6th and Senior retakes Nov.7th. Who’s Who, Band and Club pictures will also be taken on these days. Who’s Who, band, Art Club, and FFA are already scheduled for the 6th. PIRATE FOOTBALL – Friday (Senior Night) Our Sr. Pirates will play Fouke on Friday night for Senior Night. Kick off will be at 7 pm. WATER – FCCLA is selling cold water in Mrs. Vance’s room for 50 cents. Please do not interrupt her class to purchase water.
PIRATE PRIDE It’s time that we recognize character at DCHS. Webster defines character as: moral excellence and strength. Beginning with the second nine weeks, students who exemplify character will be recognized with an EXTENDED lunch (burgers and fixins) on the grounds at the end of the nine weeks. So, you ask, what do I have to do to receive this extended burger lunch? No D hall, No ISS, No OSS and No corporal punishment. DRIVERS TEST - Students if you plan to take your driver’s test, you will need to stop by the counselors’ office and fill out a request form for the necessary paperwork. Mrs. Adcock will need at least a weeks’ notice in advance to get your paperwork together. COUNSELOR’S CORNER Reminder - There are ACT practice tests and test dates outside of the counselor's office.
