ATTENTION – Students, just a reminder that you are to stay out of your automobile from the time you arrive in the morning until school is out. You are to park your vehicle and leave the parking lot when you arrive on campus and are not allowed to go back to them without permission from faculty or administration. Also, caps and hats are not to be worn in any school building. ATTENTION SENIORS - Seniors, after school has a place for you! If you need help with your senior project, please see Ms. James or Ms. Atkins during after school. HAT DAY - FCCLA will be selling hat day stickers for a $1.00 in the CTE building on Fridays. See Mrs. Vance to purchase your sticker. .
ARCHERY - If you are planning on shooting in the regional archery tournament you need to see Mrs. Leek ASAP. Deadline is January 26, 2018. FCCLA MEETING – Today There will be an FCCLA meeting today at the picnic tables outside Mrs. Vance’s room. If you plan on attending the State Leadership meeting, you MUST attend the meeting today. ATTENTION STUDENTS – Reminder - Bandannas and blankets are not allowed. YEARBOOK – The 2017-2018 yearbook is available to order for $45. There will be a signing party on May 11th during 6th and 7th period for those that purchase a yearbook.

" Vance’s Vittles - Vance’s Vittles will meet today. PIRATE BASKETBALL – Friday Our DC Pirates will travel to McGehee to play the Owls Friday evening. Teams playing SG, JG & SB. Tip off will be at 4:30. Go Pirates !! PEP RALLY – Friday, Jan. 26th There will be a pep rally at 11:20 on Friday, Jan. 26. All 9th graders will participate in the pep rally. WATER – FCCLA is selling cold water in Mrs. Vance’s room for 50 cents. Please do not interrupt her class to purchase water. DRIVERS TEST - Students if you plan to take your driver’s test, you will need to stop by the counselors’ office and fill out a request form for the necessary paperwork. Applications must postmarked by February 28th, 2018 Arkansas Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Scholarship: Any female high school senior who is interested becoming a teacher. Award is $750 and the application is in the counselor’s office. Deadline is March 23rd, 2018 Leeman Ngar Scholarship-Any Drew Central senior can apply. Award amount is $500 and the deadline to apply is April 30th. The ARK Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation-Any high school minority student seeking a degree in a STEM area at the following colleges:UAPB, UAM, ASU, UALR, UCA, Pulaksi Tech, Southeast Arkansas College, Phillips Community College, and Philander Smith College. Applications can be found in the counselor’s office. Janet B. Carson Master Gardener Scholarship-Any senior attending an Arkansas University and majoring in a plant science related field can apply.
