DRWC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MARCH 2, 2017 MINUTES A meeting of the DRWC Executive Committee was held on March 2, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. at DRWC located at 121 North Columbus Boulevard pursuant to notice duly given under the by-laws and the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act. Attending: Alan Hoffmann, Jay Goldstein, Marilyn Jordan Taylor, Anne Fadullon, Ellen Yin Also attending: Tom Corcoran, Joe Forkin, Lavelle Young, Shelvia Williams, Karen Thompson, Lizzie Woods, Rinku Modi, Angela Sabatine, Gina DiBiase The minutes of the January 5, 2017 DRWC Executive Committee meeting were approved as submitted. Jodie Milkman reported that the BCRR Winterfest will close on March 7,th with very strong attendance in terms of skaters and food and beverages sales, in spite of two lost weeks due to warm weather. She informed the committee that the annual Promenade will take place on Tuesday, June 13th this year at Summerfest. She also stated that Univest has signed on for another two year sponsorship of Spruce Street Harbor Park. Ms. Milkman updated the committee that a press event was held to announce the establishment of the William R. Miller, IV Urban Youth Activities Fund and that press coverage was strong. Several donations have already been made in addition to DRWC’s $10,000 initial commitment. She then informed the committee that DRWC is currently refining the content and timing for the 5th Anniversary Campaign since the adoption of the Master Plan. Lizzie Woods reported that the Arts Grant project is ready to begin. Tom Corcoran added that Interface Studios was chosen and that that firm partnered with Hood Design of California, making for a very strong and talented team. Marilyn Jordan Taylor added that, although Interface will hold the contract as the local entity, in terms of scope of work both firms are equal partners. Jay Goldstein suggested that early on it be established that DRWC deal with them as one and specify who will be the lead person/point of contact from Interface. Joe Forkin presented a resolution to enter into a contract in the amount of $150,000 with Interface Studio and Hood Design to provide professional services to complete a Waterfront Arts Plan for the Central Delaware River Waterfront. A motion was made, seconded and approved. Ms. Woods reported that the Race Street Connector Phase II construction is underway and that completion is expected for early summer. Karen Thompson stated that the concrete has been poured for the new ADA ramp and it is hopeful that the contractor will complete the work by the end of March. Lizzie Woods informed the committee that the International Sculpture Garden project is still in Phase I and that a meeting is scheduled for March 15th with the Society Hill Civic Association. After one more

round of consultation with the three partners and the various stakeholders, it will then be decided whether the project should move forward into project design. The committee then went into executive session. Upon resuming open session, the meeting was open for public comment. There being no public comment, the meeting was adjourned.
