CONDITIONS 1. All Riders, Horses & Ponies must compete with the appropriate ESNZ membership. 2. All classes run under current ESNZ rules. 3. Formal attire unless directed by the judge. 4. BOP RIDER SERIES (Rotorua, Eastern Bay (Te Teko), Opotiki & Tauranga shows) - Riders to reside in the BOP Show Jumping Area. Horse riders not to have been placed in classes higher than 1.20m & pony riders not in classes higher than 1.10m in the present or previous season. MUST STATE ON ENTRY. 5. GENERAL ENQUIRIES to: Angela Sharples at [email protected] or Joan Couper 07 332 2752. ENTRIES 6. CLOSE OF ENTRIES: Monday 19th September, thereafter LATE. ONLINE ENTRIES AT: www.equestrianentries.co.nz Payment by direct credit must be received by Tuesday 20th September or entries are LATE. Postal entries to be sent to: Rotorua Show Jumping, 896A State Highway 5, RD2, Rotorua 3072 Direct credit payments: 03 1552 0118642 00 7. LATE ENTRIES: $20 late fee for horses not entered in show. Will start last in the class where class is drawn & ride first in jump off. 8. SCRATCHINGS: refunds for classes and all other fees including stabling are refunded less 25% up until Thursday 22nd Sept. Contact Angela at [email protected]. No refunds for scratching or unused yards without a vet or medical certificate after this time. Class changes and late entries allowed. LEVIES & FEES 9. ESNZ JUMPING LEVY: $5 per equine for the show (compulsory). 10. ESNZ CASUAL JUMPING LEVY: $15 per equine for the first day and $25 for two days. Required for horses not currently registered with ESNZ for Jumping/ Show Hunter. May not compete in any series class or Classes 1, 2, 4, 18, 20, and 33. NOTE the rider must be a full member of ESNZ. 11. SHOW LEVY: $20 per horse. 12. NEC GROUND FEE: $15 per horse. 13. STABLING: Open yards - $10 per horse per night; Covered yards -$20 per horse per night; Stables - $25 per horse per night (stallions only). Please note on entry if you own lease yards and number owned. 14. CAMPING: $5 per person per night (under 5yrs free) no power. Powered site additional $10 per connection per night (limited availability). OTHER 15. Practice ring $5 per round. Not judged. 16. There will be food available on the grounds. 17. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter the programme and prize money. Riders will be advised about any changes via email so please ensure your contact details are up to date. 18. All competitors must familiarise themselves with the health and safety policy in this schedule and sign the H & S event waiver on entry.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY Dunstan Rotorua Spring Show is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy event for all staff, and to providing the information, training and supervision needed to achieve this. We will take all practicable steps by;    

Providing a safe event, safe equipment and proper materials Identifying and monitoring hazards and using the hazard management hierarchy of eliminate, isolate or minimise. Insist upon establishment of safe methods and best practices Comply with all H&S legislation, regulations and codes of practice

We will take responsibility for health and safety procedures, however, ALL PEOPLE ON THIS SITE need to be aware of their responsibilities and comply with the event’s health and safety policy. COMPETITORS will be responsible for themselves at ALL times by observing safe practices and rules/instructions relating to their competition. Every person involved in Dunstan Rotorua Spring Show is encouraged to play a vital and responsible role in maintaining a safe and healthy event through:         

Being involved in the event health and safety system. Following correct procedures. Safe and proper use of equipment. Wearing protective clothing and equipment as and when required. Reporting any pain or discomfort as soon as possible. Ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported. Help new employees, trainees and visitors to understand the right safety procedures and why they exist. Informing the office immediately of any health and safety concerns. Keeping the event facilities tidy to minimise the risk of any trips and falls.
