Union goes on the road to take on the University of Massachusetts on Friday in its final away game of 2015.
SCOUTING UMASS
• UMass was outscored 8-2 in back-to-back losses at #20 Notre Dame last weekend. • The Minutemen are winless in their last eight, going 0-5-3 in that span. • Their last win came Nov. 7 against UConn. • UMass has scored at least four goals in all six of its wins and is 0-4-3 when scoring fewer than four goals. • Dennis Kravchenko leads the team with 17 points and 10 assists. • Shane Walsh ranks tied for fourth in Division 1 with 11 goals • UMASS is allowing 3.47 goals per game, which ranks tied for 50th in Division I. • Freshman netminder Nic Renyard has played the majority of the minutes between the pipes, posting a 4-5-4 record with a 3.21 goals against average and a .907 save percentage in 14 appearances. Sophomore Henry Dill has a 2-2-0 record with a 3.74 goals against average and a .887 save percentage in five games.
SERIES AGAINST THE MINUTEMEN
• Friday’s matchup marks just the seventh meeting between the two teams in Union’s Division I era and the first since Nov. 25, 2007. • The Minutemen won the last matchup, 4-3, and own a 4-2 edge in the series.

• Union blanked Dartmouth, 3-0, for its second ECAC Hockey win of the season. • Alex Sakellaropoulos turned away 34 saves for the second consecutive game, including 15 in the third period, earning his second shutout in three games. • Brett Supinski scored what proved to be the game-winning goal just 3:48 into the first period. • Spencer Foo also tallied in the first period, giving him five points (1 g, 4a) for the weekend. • Mike Vecchione potted an empty netter to seal the win and also added an assist. • Nick DeSimone extended his point streak to five games with an assist against the Big Green.
NOTEWORTHY
• Ryan Scarfo scored two power play goals agianst Harvard, tying a program single-game record. The Crimson entered the game as one of the top penalty killing teams in the nation at 92.9%. • Foo’s three assists against Harvard rank tied for third in program history, while his four points place him tied for fourth on the program’s all-time list. • Sakellaropoulos has a 1.30 goals against average and a .958 save percentage in his last three games.
