PUPPY RAISERS NEEDED TO ASSIST OUR VETERANS LYNBROOK LIBRARY 56 ELDERT STREET, LYNBROOK, NY 11563
Since 2001, more U.S. Service members have taken their own lives than have died on the battlefield. 22 veterans will commit suicide every day. Our Veterans are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD)
and Traumatic Brain Injuries(TBI). PTSD is a disorder that attacks the Nervous System when our veterans are triggered through their environment. Assistance Dogs can serve as Grounders. The
dogs can assist by de-escalating the situation by keeping the Veteran at a distance away when veterans are in public. Come find out how you can help.
