Registered horses/ponies can enter both Introductory and Open classes Ponies are NOT restricted to one category BUT for High Points classes ponies must enter the correct category for the height of the pony. - Ponies 133cm & under must enter Cat A pony High Points - Ponies over 133cm & up to & including 143cm must enter Cat B high points - Ponies over 143cm & up to & including 148cm must enter Cat C high points Cat A pony riders eligible for class 51 -
All classes run under ESNZ rules V9 & Equitation Series Conditions 2016. Showhunter rules can be downloaded from www.nzequestrian.org.nz The committee reserves the right to alter the program, combine classes, alter prize money, substitute trophies or prizes in kind for prize money.
Prizemoney will be paid as follows: 7 entries - 1st to 4th place, 6 entries – 1st to 3rd place, 5 entries - 1 & 2nd place, 4 entries or less – 1st place only. Horses/Ponies Registration Requirements: ❖ High Points and Equitation classes – Full ESNZ registration PLUS full Jumping Annual Start. ❖ HOYQ – Full ESNZ Registration PLUS Jumping Annual Start and jumping levy $5 per show HOYQ points will be allocated ❖ Unregistered horses or horse registered with ESNZ with no discipline start for SJ/SH can start using a ESNZ Casual Jumping Levy of $20 plus ESNZ jumping levy $5 per show, HOYQ points will not be allocated ❖ Introductory classes – riders must have an Introductory membership or pay the ESNZ Rider Casual membership of $10 per day and will pay the Jumping Levy of $5 per show (if also competing in Jumping classes you only pay this levy once) Fully registered horses and ponies can also enter these classes as well as HOYQ classes
Membership Requirements Riders must have a current ESNZ Membership except for Introductory classes where the rider must be an Introductory Member or pay the ESNZ Rider Casual fee (see above)

Equine Registration Requirements and Rider Membership High Points & Series Equitation Classes – Full ESNZ rider membership and full equine registration PLUS Jumping Annual Start HOYQ Classes – for both options Full ESNZ rider membership required Option 1 : Full ESNZ equine registration PLUS Jumping Annual Start and HOY qualifying points will be allocated Option 2 : Casual Jumping Levy of $20 per show and HOY qualifying points not allocated Introductory Classes – Rider to be either Introductory or Casual or Full ESNZ member. No equine registration required but registered equines can compete in Introductory classes.
