Key role for us is as tournament director. Each game being played needs someone to keep it on the up and up from the crows nest. Host site normally can’t tournament direct your teams at another location. Maryellen will be offering training for tournament directors. We will need to get a contingent of people to be trained. Minimum of 6 (at least). Primarily will be majors kids and some minors kids to fill in the gaps.
ScoreboardWas approved and ordered (should be in next week- possibly) Rit has reached out to Joe to help us set up the scoreboard (as a paid position) Tournament committee will be responsible for scheduling electrician and setupCommitteesTwo committees needed – One for Family Day and the other for the Tournament . Ideally to meet once a week .
Tournament Committee: Brian D (chair) , Sean, Pete, Tim, Chad, Bryan G, Lisa G, Rit, Tracy Family Day: Melissa (chair), Pete, Rit (will need volunteers and reach out to coaches to remind them they are expected to be here)Review suggested IdeasMats for batting cages and modifications Red windscreens need to be put up on the Minors and Majors field behind the plates Magnets for the bases- would like to get another set for the fields (Brian D) Suggestion to put up the two no smoking signs Will need tournament T’shirts ordered in bulk with volunteer on the back Conference room table needed for the clubhouse Windows for clubhouse- suggested to table for next year (based on timeframe and cost) Fixing up the clubhouse- paint Pitch countersMotionsTim made a motion to buy the bases, second from Pete- Motion passes Update batters box- up to a few hundred bucks at Brian and Dan’s discretionCommitteesEvery Saturday at 8am is the committee collection meetings- board members, chairs (at a minimum) and whoever from the committee wants to comeNext board meetingThursday May 23 AND Wed June 12 7:30 (after games) or 6pm if games are cancelled due to rain rd
