Yes! I want to help lead Kansas City area businesses toward environmental excellence!

The Environmental Excellence Business Network Our mission is to lead Kansas City area businesses toward environmental excellence through environmental, social and economic sustainability.

Name: ___________________________________ Company: _______________________________

Network members represent businesses that are taking a market approach to environmental improvements and sustainable business practices. The EEBN provides opportunities for businesses to share tools, techniques, technologies and strategies with each other to accomplish similar goals. The EEBN coordinates between three and six annual events for members. Leading businesses host events to share their successes and resources with professionals like you. Hallmark Cards, Harley-Davidson, General Motors and Sprint have hosted events in the past. You can tour facilities to view improvements in action and participate in presentations, learning how to use tools to implement similar programs at your facilities. Networking opportunities abound to ask questions and find information. The EEBN focuses on practical opportunities in broad areas such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, environmental management systems, employee involvement and green purchasing, in addition to specific sector challenges.

Why Join? Since 1998, EEBN has been bringing together Kansas City area business people who share a commitment to environmental stewardship. One of the EEBN presentations in 2002 led to the creation of the Kansas City By-Product Synergy Initiative project, where waste from one company becomes a resource to another business participating in the program. This is just one example of what the possibilities are when businesses get together—and the EEBN is where that happens.

2007 Membership Benefits: FREE admission to most EEBN events — usually between three and six events per year. The number of free admissions per event is based on the membership category. Members receive reduced rates for environmental and safety training, with offerings such as HAZWOPER, HazCom, First Aid/CPR and more. Periodic “beyond compliance” workshops and trainings are provided on topics such as LEEDTM, ISO 14000 and Environmental Management Systems. Sponsors are listed in EEBN and Bridging The Gap materials, so thousands of participants and volunteers are aware of your commitment to environmental excellence.
