Maura Ballard is the first head coach of the Rangers’ men’s and women’s golf teams. She launched the Drew golf programs in their inaugural season in the fall of 2016 as a club team, while recruiting and building toward Drew’s first varsity season as part of the Landmark Conference in 2017. Ballard boasts 22 years of NCAA experience as the Director of Golf and Head Coach at Rutgers University, where she was named the 2005 Big East Men’s Coach of the Year.

Ballard, a 1988 graduate of Rutgers, guided her alma mater to 22 tournament wins and 20 individual championships during her tenure as Head Coach. Ballard practices what she preaches as the owner of a lengthy success story with a club in her hands. As a Division I collegiate golfer she earned four team MVP awards at Rutgers and won the 1986 Yale Invitational, and she’s continued to garner multiple championships throughout her playing career. She is an 11-time club champion spanning 1986 to 2014, and is the 1988, 2013 and 2014 Garden State Stroke Play Champion, the 1992 New Jersey State Amateur Champion, the 2015 Garden State Senior Champion and back-to-back champion of the New Jersey State Women’s Senior Amateur in 2015 and 2016.
STYLE OF PLAY: BEST BALL Prizes awarded to first place foursome (net & gross), second and third place, longest drive (men and women) and closest to the pin (men and women).
