“Electric Fan” : Block 1 Cutting Directions for 1 Block : (Make Two for Quilt Layout) From both the Black & Purple Fabric cut:
- (4) Shape #4 From each of the Orange, Green, Pink & Blue Fabrics cut:
- (2) Shape #4
Piecing Instructions
Layout (1) Black #4, (`1) Purple #4, & (2) Orange #4 as shown.
Sew (1) Black #4 & (1) Orange #4 together and (1) Purple #4 & (1) Orange #4 together along the short side pressing towards the orange.
Sew the Black/Orange unit and the Purple/Orange unit together along the long side. pressing towards the Purple/Orange unit Block should square up to 6-1/2” x 6-1/2” (12” finished series) 5” x 5” (9” finished series) 4-1/2” x 4-1/2” (8” finished series) 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” (6” finished series)
Repeat previous (2) steps with Green, Pink & Blue Squares.
Layout (1) Orange unit, (1) Green Unit, (1) Pink Unit, & (1) Blue unit as shown.
Sew blocks together into rows pressing seams open.
Sew rows together pressing seam open. Block should measure 12-1/2” x 12-1/2” 9-1/2” x 9-1/2” 8-1/2” x 8-1/2” 6-1/2” x 6-1/2”
Repeat all steps to make a total of (2) Blocks
