West Chester University Golden Rams’
West Chester University announced the hiring of Amy Cohen in March 2011 as just the eighth head coach in the history of West Chester University’s storied program. During Cohen’s 6 years as a head coach she has authored an outstanding overall record of 99-27 while being named the South Region coach of the year twice and the National Coach of the Year in 2012. Cohen has put together a career record of 141-77, including her five seasons at Division III Susquehanna University. The Golden Rams captured back-to-back national championships in 2011&2012, made the NCAA tournament five years in a row, qualified for the PSAC Tournament all 6 years, and were crowned PSAC Champions in 2012 and 2014 since Cohen’s arrival. Concluding the 2016 season where the Rams went 13-7, junior Rachal Toppi was selected as the NFHCA National Player of The Year. The Rams advanced to the PSAC Semi Finals after beating IUP 4-1 in the conference opening round. In the summer of 2015 and 2016 senior Dayle Paustian was selected to the USA Field Hockey Junior High Performance Squad representing the Golden Rams on Team USA! In 2015 WCU went 17-5, to advance to the team’s second consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Final 4. The fall of 2014 WCU went 18-3, while winning the PSAC Championship and earning a berth to the NCAA Division II National Festival held in Louisville, KY. West Chester’s 20-win 2012 season tied the school’s single-season record and was the most since 1978.

*Walk-Up Price: Credit Card Only Elite Level & GK Specialty Camp $315 per athlete The camp programs will be conducted at WCU’s Vonnie Gros Athletic Field behind the Sturzebecker Health Sciences Center (855 South New Street, West Chester PA).
Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, sunscreen, and a container of water (no glass). Goalkeepers must bring their own equipment. WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items. All personal equipment
should be marked with the camper’s name.
The WCU Field Hockey Elite Level & GK Specialty Camp offers a unique opportunity for the serious field hockey athlete. The camp has been designed to challenge athletes in settings different from the traditional camp situations. The camps will offer tactics and techniques in goal scoring, defensive strategy, and goalkeeping technique. Each evening will conclude under the lights with game play. These offerings will appeal to the serious field hockey athlete!
