ELITE SKILLS CAMP Join the UPIKE Softball Staff and student-athletes for our Elite Skills Camp! The camp will be held at Butcher Field on the University of Pikeville Campus. The camp will cover advanced fundamentals for all fielding positions as well as situational hitting and base-running concepts. Pitchers will have an opportunity to throw live to hitters in a modified scrimmage. The drills are designed for varsity level high school athletes with the desire to compete at the collegiate level.
Camp Date: August 9, 2015 Time: 1:00 - 4:30 pm Grades: Rising 8th - 12th graders Location: Paul Butcher Field, UPIKE Campus Cost: $60 Campers need to bring: Cleats (metal or rubber), fielder's glove, bat, helmet, Catcher's gear (catcher's only), and tennis shoes (only if weather forces us indoors) Registration: Sign in beginning at 12:30 pm in the parking lot along the outfield fence of Butcher Field (128 Kilgore Street, behind Hoops Facility, beside Baseball Field). Attendees should wear t-shirt, shorts or softball pants, tall socks. Water will be provided throughout the day. The undersigned participating student and his or her parents by signing below hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue, UPIKE, its facility, administration, employees, coaches and instructors (the “released parties”) from and against any and all loss(es), cost(s), and damage(s) of whatsoever kind or nature and all claims, demands, actions and causes of action therefore on account of injury to the participating student or resulting in the death of the student, whether caused by or arising out of the NEGLIGENCE (including ordinary, strict or gross negligence) of the “released parties” or otherwise. And, the participating student and/or his or her parent signing below do hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the “released parties” from all such risks of bodily injury, death and all other damages due to the negligence (including ordinary, strict or gross negligence) of the “released parties.” THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ THIS RELEASE, AND UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES IT IS A RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS, AND HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND RISKS OF ANY AND ALL SUCH BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR OTHER POTENTIAL DAMAGES WHICH MAY RESULT FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE SOFTBALL CAMP.
