Ranger Softball 2015 Clinic Coaching Staff Head Coach Scott Wachholz (1st year) Coach Wachholz enters his first season as head softball coach for the Rangers after a successful stint at Williston State College. Posting a 30-17 record, 12-2 in the Mon-Dak Conference, Wachholz team shattered 15 single-season school records and ranked first nationally in batting average, slugging percentage, and triples, while ranking second in on-base percentage. In his first year as head coach, Wachholz also lead his team to claim the NJCAA Region XIII championship before taking the runner-up finish at the district tournament. Wachholz was named the Region XIII Coach of the Year while seven of his players claimed All-Region awards and one earned NFCA All-American honors. Prior to Williston State, Wachholz served as the assistant softball coach as well as the assistant strength and conditioning coordinator at a pair of NCAA schools – Southwest Minnesota State (2013) and Columbus State University in Georgia (2012). At Columbus, Wachholz helped the Cougars post a 40-20 overall record and advance to the NCAA Tournament. Wachholz was also a student assistant for the University of Wisconsin from 2005-09. Assistant Coach Elizabeth Murray (1st year) Murray enters her first season as assistant coach for the Rangers. She will work primarily with pitchers. Prior to coming to UWP, Murray spent two years as assistant coach at the University of Sioux Falls, where she helped the Cougars to a 30-17 finish, first NCAA post-season appearance, four All-Conference players, one All-District, and one All-Region player. Prior to USF, she played four years at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was a part of two conference championships, two region titles, a super region crown, and a berth in the NCAA Division II national tournament. Murray was three-time All-Conference player.

2015 Ranger Softball Winter Elite Camp 





Participants will receive elite instruction in pitching, defense, &/or hitting instruction from the UWP coaching staff and players Each session will feature a progression of fundamentals and advanced drills that the current Ranger roster uses throughout their season Take home new skills and drills that you can use to improve your pitching, defense, or offensive skillset



1:5 coach to player ratio as each session is limited to 25 athletes-REGISTER EARLY!



Please bring own glove, helmet, bat, & catcher’s gear (No Cleats Allowed!!)



Registration will take place15 minutes prior to each session

Register early, numbers are limited and in order to provide adequate instruction and participation to all attendees. Participants will be registered in the order the forms are received. No refund will be given after the day of the clinic except for the case of inclement weather. Submit all such requests in writing.
