Sewing/Embroidery Machine with embroidery and sewing feet and attachments.



Open toe or other decorative stitching foot. The one that came with your machine will work (N foot for Brother and Baby lock, B foot for Viking, or F foot for Janome)



6x10 (150x260mm) or larger embroidery hoop



USB Flash Drive or other media for transferring embroidery designs

1 rectangle 100% good quality cotton print at least 6.5 x 12 inches for snack bag body 1 rectangle 100% good quality cotton solid at least 7 x 5 for appliqué piece I--7 inch piece of 5/8 inch ribbon 1--3/4” to 1” button Steam a Seam 2—one 9x12 sheet per bag (We will have time to make one in class) Embroidery thread for design: there are three designs available. The flower design shown has three colors: green for leaves, yellow for petals, and light blue for the flower centers. The other two designs are lady bugs and dancing ants….with dreadlocks. The bug design colors are black and three colors (for example, red, green, blue) for the bodies that will vary according to the color of fabric that you are using. Embroidery thread for topstitching on bag: this needs to contrast or match your fabric. Sulky 30wt. Blendables for finishing the bag. The bags will be finished with a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine. I used 30wt Blendables, however, any 30wt. decorative thread will work. 90/14 Floriani Chrome embroidery needle Thread trimming scissors Floriani Stitch n Wash tear a way stabilizer Fabric Marker Rotary cutter and 12 to 18 inch ruler Appliqué pressing sheet Pressing cloth—can be just a large piece of muslin Fabric shears Hand sewing needle for sewing on button: needs to be fairly large one. I will supply the Mylar (used for lining bag). I’ll give you enough for about 4 bags.
