Foundation The faster the first responders are on site, the faster the emergency situation ends. The faster the school initiates its protocols, the faster students and staff are safe. Panicked people don’t react rationally, or think clearly through even simple operations. Rapid Response Starts with Rapid Alert

Benefits Ø Reduces Police response time (as well as an intruder’s time); second count! Ø Provides for the rapid initiation of school protocols throughout the entire building to reduce risk Ø Does not modify or dictate the school’s response protocols Ø Provides limited, focused notification so that District Leaders are in control of mass notification Ø Addresses Higher Risk Areas (Bus Loading Zones, Outdoor/P.E./ Recess, sporting events)
