EACH SCHOOL MUST PROVIDE 1 JUMP JUDGE FOR EVERY 4 RIDERS All riders must wear approved regulation safety helmets and long sleeves in both phases AND a back protector in the XC phase. There will be a gear check before XC phase failure to do so will result in elimination for that phase. All riders compete at their own risk. Please leave the grounds in the condition that you found them – put your rubbish in the bins provided, pick up your own manure and hay and take home with you. SHOWJUMPING RULES The course will consist of up to 12 jumps ranging in height from [40cm – 120cm]. The competitor must jump no more than 6 different jumps. The score will be that of the number of the jump except the last is The Joker and is worth double points i.e.; 24. The bigger the jump the bigger the number. Riders must start & finish between the flags. The jumps can be jumped in any order and in any direction. In the event of a tie the quickest SJ time will be the decider. NOTE: 1. Elimination for a fall. 2. No points for dropped rails. 3. No points for a refusal but Elimination for 3 refusals during the SJ round 4. Only jump one jump once with up to six jumps counting towards your score. 5. You must complete a jump even if refused
CROSS COUNTRY RULES 1. The competitor decides which height they wish to jump. They do not have to jump the same height throughout except for combinations where the same colour must be adhered to. 2. If a competitor has a stop at a jump (fall, run out, etc) they may jump a smaller jump if they wish and then proceed. No points will be scored for that jump but you are likely to incur time faults if you go slow or repeat your jump attempts. 3. Scoring will be white markers [60 - 75cm] 10 points, blue markers [75 - 90cm] 20 pts, red markers [90 -105cm] 30 pts. 4. There will be at least two jokers [100 - 120cm] [yellow markers] - worth 40 pts available also. 5. If a horse stops, falls or has any other disobedience the score will be NIL at that obstacle/jump. 6. Rider fall at a jump = Elimination, but if safe you may proceed and complete the course. 7. There will be an optimal time and penalty points will be incurred if you are over this time. 8. You must provide at least one Cross Country Judge for every 4 riders – you can organise relievers to swap over at anytime.
