FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
2.1
Construction and devices
The digital weight indicators are fully described in Parts (Test) Certificate GB-1576. 2.2
Load cell
Any compatible load cell(s) may be used providing the following conditions are met: −
There is a respective OIML Certificate of Conformity (R60), or a Parts (Test) certificate (EN45501) issued for the load cell by a Notified Body responsible for type examination under Directive 2014/31/EU.
−
The certificate contains the load cell types and the necessary load cell data required for the manufacturer’s declaration of compatibility of modules (WELMEC 2, 2015, No 10), and any particular installation requirements. A load cell marked NH is allowed only if humidity testing to EN45501 has been conducted on this load cell.
−
The compatibility of the load cells and indicator is established by the manufacturer by means of the compatibility of modules calculation, contained in the above WELMEC 2 document, at the time of verification or declaration of EU conformity of type.
−
The load cell transmission must conform to one of the examples shown in the WELMEC Guide 2.4, “Guide for Load cells”.
2.2.2 When the requirements of 2.2.1 are met for systems comprising Avery T203 load cells (approved under R60/1991-GB-95.12) or Avery 8713 load cells (approved under TC2264), these load cells may be freely mixed within individual systems as these cells are technically compatible and freely interchangeable. 2.2.3 When the requirements of 2.2.1 are met for systems comprising Avery T204 load cells (approved under R60/1991-GB-97.02) or Avery 8708 load cells (approved under R60/1991-GB-94.01), these load cells may be freely mixed within individual systems as these cells are technically compatible and freely interchangeable. The mounting arrangement shall be such that the mechanical differences are taken into account. 2.2.4 When the requirements of 2.2.1 are met for systems comprising Avery T302 load cells (approved under R60/1991-GB-00.01) or Avery T302i load cells (approved under R60/2000-GB1-04.03) or Avery T302x load cells (approved under R60/2000-GB1-09.10), these load cells may be freely mixed within individual systems as these cells are technically compatible and freely interchangeable.
2/5
The mounting arrangement shall be such that the mechanical differences are taken into account. 2.2.5
A maximum of four load receptors may be connected to the indicator.

3/5
- it complies with the applicable requirements of EN45501, i.e. 4.2, 4.4, 4.6 and 4.7. A printing device may print additional information such as date or number to identify the printed weighing result(s) or sets of weighing results. 5
APPROVAL CONDITIONS
This certificate is issued subject to the following conditions: 5.1
Inscriptions
5.1.1
The instrument shall bear the following inscriptions on or near the display: − − −
5.1.2
Max Min e= The instrument shall bear the following inscriptions:
− − − − − − −
CE marking Supplementary metrology marking Identification number of the notified body Number of the EU-type examination certificate Manufacturer’s name, registered trade name or registered trade mark and postal address Accuracy class Type, batch or serial number
and, when applicable: − for instruments consisting of separate but associated units: identification mark on each unit; − scale interval if it is different from e, in the form d = H; − maximum additive tare effect, in the form T = + H; − maximum subtractive tare effect if it is different from Max, in the form T = – H; − tare interval if it is different from d, in the form dT = H; − maximum safe load if it is different from Max, in the form Lim H; − the special temperature limits, in the form H oC/H oC; − ratio between load receptor and load. LOCATION OF SEALS AND VERIFICATION MARKS
6.1 The data plate is secured, either by sealing or by being of a form such that it is destroyed when removed. 6.2 Components that may not be dismantled or adjusted by the user (jumper on main board when applicable, load cell connection) must be secured. Common serial numbers, a wire and seal solution or a tamper-evident sticker (bearing a securing mark) may be used. The securing mark may be either:
− −
a mark of the manufacturer and/or manufacturer’s representative, or an official mark of a verification officer.
4/5
6.3 When software sealing is used, the CONFIG and CAL counters’ values shall be written on a tamper-evident label on or near the rating plate. 7
ALTERNATIVES

This configuration forms a complete single-interval, multi-interval or multi-range Class III or Class IIII Non-Automatic Weighing Instrument. These load cells may be freely mixed within individual systems as these cells are technically compatible and freely interchangeable. The T301 / T301x load cells are connected to a digital junction box, containing a load cell scanning PCB, either part no. 71014-875 or AWT25-001315. Any combination of scanning PCB and load cells listed in 7.2 is permitted. The instrument has the following characteristic: n ≤ 6,000 for Class III instruments with single interval ni ≤ 3,000 for Class III instruments with multi-range or multi-interval operation, per weighing range, with a maximum of three weighing ranges n ≤ 1,000 for Class IIII instruments with single interval 7.3 Having the indicator fitted with one or more additional load cell interfaces and connected to a maximum of four load receptors. The interfaces may be a combination of analogue load cells, BSQ platforms (see section 7.1), or T301/T301x digital load cells (see section 7.2) The primary display will indicate the active load receptor, as 1 / 2 / 3 / 4, and associated weight display. Selection of the load receptor is achieved by pressing the “Scale” key. 7.4 The ZM505 / ZM510 / ZM605 / ZM615 may be used for “direct sales to the public” if the pre-set tare device and “Select” function key are inactive.
