Concussion, costs, allotment of time all reasons for the decline. Positive Coaching Alliance: Continuing our ongoing efforts to stress a positive sporting experience EVAA will create some signage to post at our fields and gyms focusing on asking our parents to enjoy the event and cheer on the teams in a positive manner. Purchase sign as a reminder to why our children play. Review/Approve May, Sept 2015 Regular Meeting BOD MinutesApproved. Program Updates REV: Dave HefcoChanged name to “REV”. REV South (Rosemount/Apple Valley/Lakeville/Eastview) and REV East. Two separate 501C3 programs run under one banner. Completely separated soccer and business operations. Paid staff members run all programs/operations. Volunteer Board runs all business operationsgovernance/budgets, etc. Strong evaluation process. Go through full audit every year. Teamsnap/NGIN website. Development process for each child in program, charting their growth in the program. Merger helped expand REV’s growth/potential. REV South has 70 teams with 1000 kids. Teams traveling internationally and placing well in tournaments. Won over 25 tournaments the past year. Discussion on why REV and EVAA are good partners. InHouse Baseball: Started planning meetings off last week. Two new board members. New fundraising options being discussed. Jersey Fitting Night will be scheduled during signup period. Traveling Baseball: Started planning meetings. All board members filled with 7 new members. Planning process for clinic done. 60 members signed up for these sessions. Budget presented in December. Ongoing discussions about how to handle MASH. InHouse Basketball: InHouse started tonight. Down from last year. Skill level training also down. More gym times available this fall. InHouse Age Coordinator also needed. Traveling Basketball: Gym times starting in Octoberadditional practice time. Need new board members. Boys tournament coming up in November. Cross Country: No Report Nordic Skiing: Registration opens in November InHouse Football: Season ended with Lighting Bowl. Equipment turned in soon. VAA relationship to continue. business concluded. Lacrosse: No Report InHouse Soccer: 915 kids this fall (100 more than last year). Added a REV/EVAA boys team. Played 10 tournaments and won 5 of them. Added boys team this fall and won 1 out 3 tournaments. Successful Community Night (400500 people attended Eastview Varsity teams). InHouse/Traveling Softball: No Report InHouse/Traveling Tennis: No Report Track & Field: 173 participants last year. Traveling team will continue next year. Budget presented to board in October. Volleyball: Season done end of October. 16 volunteer coaches. Lots of gym time. 89 teams this spring. 5 times this winter. Tryouts coming up soon. Tournaments start after the first of the year. Strong board support. Wrestling: Clinics start soon. Gearing up for the new season. EVAA/VAA Merge: Marc Dannecker delivered update: Numerous conversations by EVAA and VAA members. Check/Balance audit of EVAA and VAA financials. Apple Valley accounting firm will review both associations. Roles and responsibilities being established for joint venture. VAA has lower financials based on participation. Working on one insurance policy for both associations. Two separate 501c3which one would we use? Field/gym space easier to share/use. Maximize our spacing using the whole city. Cost savings in insurance, one website (# of transactions). City likes the idea. Positive for whole community. EVAA and VAA will still be a feeder program for the high schools. No new association names. Keep high school silos, but also work togetherflexibility for the community and the kids involved in the programs. Combined effort. EAA/EVAA issues ongoing issues. Financial Update/Treasurer’s Report/Review/Approve Financials: Further information needed. Board will review/approve via email. Program Budget Approvals: TrackNeed 2016 numbersnext monthnot approved Field/Gym Update: Gym are full. Grass is still green. Streamlined the process to proactively gather information to help better schedule space for forEVAA. Admin Report January Annual Mtg: Working on meeting NGIN: Spent day at NGIN. We’re not using much of the website capabilities/Mobile capabilities/Analytics50% of traffic from mobile. Custom mobile site available. Committee Reports: EVAA Newsletter: Sent out today. Next newsletter will be January Concussion Director: Please inform director of any concussion issues immediately. Will track and review across EVAA. Mountain Bike: Email sent out. Good early responses.
