The Latino Vote: Surprising Sentiments on Issues and Candidates A Study on the Preferences of Presidential Candidates and Key Issues among US Latinos for the 2016 Presidential Race Executive Summary Research Sponsors A collaboration between Burson-Marsteller, Research Now, New American Dimensions, and the Center of Multicultural Science. Research Objectives To understand the preferences of U.S. Latino voters on presidential candidates and the key issues in the 2016 presidential race. Methodology An online research study was conducted between January 29 to February 6, 2016, using Research Now Voter Panel with more than 1,000,000 verified U.S. voters. Sample size for this study was 1,300 registered Latino voters in the United States. The study sampled Latino registered voters across all 50 states, 65/35 female/male, median age of 46, 50% Democrat, 25% Republican, 22% Independent, 2% Libertarian, and 1% Other. The margin of error associated with a probability sample of 1300 respondents is +/-2.7% at a 95% confidence level. The Research Now voter panel is an opt-in panel, and cannot be considered a probability sample.
