Exporting Tables from Planview Definitions Table: A Planview structure that formats data as a set of rows and columns. Tables cannot be directly exported like other Planview lists and reports; the extra steps below are required to Box Header export into Excel. Table tiles are indicated by the table icon (

) or by a large number.

Steps Open a Table Tile 1.Box Log Header into Planview: https://vumc.pvcloud.com/planview/ using your SSO. 2. Click the Table tile you wish to export. For example purposes, this job aid will use the My Active Risks table tile.

Note: In this screenshot, all of the tiles are table tiles except the Program Status Report tile. Change Excel Settings 1. Click Export As on the far right side of the ribbon, then select Excel.

Note: If you see other choices (PDF, Word, etc.) in this list, you are not working with a table, and you do not need to follow the instructions below.

Exporting Tables from Planview 2. A blank-looking Excel spreadsheet will download automatically. Click the File tab.

3. Click Options in the File menu.

4. Click Trust Center then Trust Center Settings in the Excel Options menu.

Exporting Tables from Planview 5. Click Protected View in the Trust Center menu. Uncheck the top checkbox next to “Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet.” Click OK twice to apply settings.

Export the Table 1. The report will not automatically appear in Excel once you complete the section above. You must re-export the table. Click Export As and Excel again in Planview.

2. Excel may give you an error message like the one below. Click Yes.

3. The exported table of Planview data should now appear in Excel.
