Nelson Rider Assistance All local riders are required to assist with a nominated task. Our days run on volunteer support, and so we welcome your support in assisting us. If you are unable to assist yourself, then a substitute is required. Failure to nominate a task will result in a task being allocated. Please indicate your task in the volunteer area when you are doing your online entry. By indicating your task it is your responsibility to carry it out. By not fulfilling your obligation you are letting down your fellow riders and your sport. Tasks: Arena Set Up, Arena Grading , Tow Vehicle for arena pack up, Sweep & Mop kitchen at end of final day.

All classes will be run under the Rules and Regulations of the ESNZ and DNZ. Please verse yourself with DNZ rules and regulations. Go to www.dressagenz.co.nz and click on ‘Rules & Regulations’. ‘The most fundamental rule - Stay 10 metres back from all sides of the arenas at all times. Bridle numbers or back numbers must be worn when riding and ID Tags on at all other times. Rider Assistance - All local riders. Failure to show up for your nominated task may result in refusal of future entries. The draw will be emailed competitors that enter via on-line entries and will also be on Nelson Dressage website – www.nelsondressage.com A maximum of three tests per day per combination. If riding more than one horse/pony a maximum of two tests per day per combination. Separate pony classes will only be held if there are four entries or more in graded classes Level 1 to Level 3 (excluding challenge tests), otherwise ponies and horses will be combined. Graded horses and ponies must be currently registered with the ESNZ and graded riders must be financial members at the time of entry. Graded horses/ponies may only compete in their current grade or above. Prize Money will only be paid out on scores of 57% or higher for L1-L5 & on scores of 55% or higher for L6 & above. [email protected] The OC reserves the right to alter, change or delete any part of this schedule at any time with all due notice being given to concerned parties. Cancellations will be posted on the website by 7am. Event will be held unless conditions extreme. Scratchings – Please notify Helen Trotman. Early Scratching – a full refund is made to rider’s scratching by 6pm TEN days before the competition starts (excluding online/ manual entry fee). All requests must be made in writing to the event secretary. Late Scratching – Refunds less 20% will be made with a vet or doctors certificate, or at the discretion of the OC (excluding online/manual entry fee). Apply in writing within 14 days of the competition to the event secretary. You must include your name, address, date of competition, name of the show, classes and total fees to be refunded. Please take all your rubbish home, and put left over hay and manure from the yards and parking area in the manure bins provided onsite. Dogs are welcome - Please keep dogs on leads at all times, do not have them around the arenas or club rooms during the competition. During the competition please do not have any horses being led or grazed around the arenas. Please do not enter the Warm Up Arena on foot. Young children to be supervised at all times, do not allow children to play in the arenas at any time. The area between the warm up arena and competition arena (behind the judge’s cars) is a quiet place for riders to move from one arena to the other. Please be mindful of the judges needing to concentrate, therefore keeping noise to the minimum. No parking of floats/trucks adjacent to the arenas. At the “A” end of the arenas please refrain from cantering and stay 10m away from wooden railing. This is a shared area for spectators and horses entering and leaving the competition arenas.
