TENNIS - SINGLES INTRAMURAL SPORTS Sport Description Tennis is an Olympic sport played by two players or two teams that alternate hitting a ball over a net upon an outdoor court. Tennis singles is only played between two players, one on each side of the net. Tennis is a great way to improve cardiovascular health and fitness, while having fun outdoors. Registration Begins: Monday, August 21, 2017 at 12:01am Registration Ends: Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:59pm Play Scheduled To Begin: Friday, September 22, 2017 (week to play each match)
ENTRY FEE AND DUE There is no entry fee for the Tennis Singles tournament DATES: GAME SITE:
Matches may be played on the tennis courts located between Robinson and the Price Computing Center or any other court that is agreed upon by both players
LEAGUES & PLAYER Men: Men's (1) REGISTRATION Women: Women's (1) MINIMUM: EVENT FORMAT:
Single elimination weekly-play-by-date tournament. It is the participant's responsibility to schedule, play, and report the result of the match to the Intramural Sports office by the prescribed deadline.
GAME FORMAT:
The match shall consist of a best 2 out of 3, three game set for all matches. Advantage scoring will be used.
