Parents pledge to be good spectators, to assess the philosophy of the coach and league to ensure it match’s their child’s needs, to understand that all children are gifted but not in equal ways, to provide unconditional support to their child and all players on the team, and to pay attention to whether their child is having fun, learning and improving. Please read the following Code of Conduct Agreement with/to your child. After reading please sign. Player’s Code of Conduct: - I will demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times; - I will attend every practice and game that I can and will notify my coach if I cannot be present; - I understand that all players may not receive equal playing time; - I understand that my attitude, attendance, work ethic and sportsmanship will affect my playing time; - I will respect, listen to and learn from my coaches; - I will do my very best in school, maintain a 2.5GPA or higher, if not I know extra work will be enforced; - I will remember that sports is an opportunity to promote further growth opportunities in life. Parent’s Code of Conduct: - I will provide positive support, care and encouragement for my child while in the gym; - I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of my own personal desire to win; - I will insist that my child be provided a safe, healthy and encouraging environment; - I will support the coaches and officials in order to encourage a positive experience for all, even when I disagree; - I will remember the game is for the children – not the adults; - I will do my best to make this basketball league a fun and learning experience for my child.
