VIII.

Hockey Directors Report- Mike Donaghue, Tim Lill & Todd Hershner a. Coaches seem to be happy with how their seasons are going. b. There have been some small issues with mites on the ice and behaviors. The coaches will be utilizing the bench and/ or penalty box for behaviors.

IX.

New Business a. EMT Coverage- Darren Krein suggested to have a contract with an EMT to cover tournaments for next season. We have an EMT who tries to cover as many tournaments as he can, but it is hard to find someone when he isn’t available. Darren will contact LRHC and Ringdahl’s to see if he can work out an agreement to have EMT’s at the FFHA tournaments. b. Teams Running Home Tournaments- Squirt C Home Tournament seemed to lack organization during their tournament. There wasn’t anyone manning the host table when teams arrived so teams were going into the wrong locker rooms. Team managers are given written out instructions on how to run a home tournament at the beginning of the season at the Team Managers’ meeting. It is up to the team managers or designated tournament parent to make sure all jobs are covered and the tournament is organized. c. There was an issue brought up by the FF CVB. They are demanding that FFHA host 12 team tournaments for every tournament. FFHA Tournaments and the number of teams we can host are looked at with other events scheduled at the arena. High School games play a major role because they take up several hours of ice time and other youth games are scheduled in the North Rink some weekends. i. Jean Bowman from CVB sent email to Steve that she wants city to make a policy on usage on the arena for tournaments. The city said they do not do that. Pam Muxfeldt, Paul Jensen, Darren Krein and Jim Fish will be meeting with Jean Bowman and explain to her how the system works with tournaments and planning. FFHA will continue to work with the CVB for tournaments, we just need to make sure all parties are on the same page. d. Acceptable reasons to cancel gamesi. Team doesn’t want to lose is not an acceptable reason to cancel a game. ii. If there is inclement weather and the team cannot travel to a game, the coach or team manager needs to contact Troy immediately so he can contact the other teams. Coaches make the call on whether the team should travel to a game during inclement weather. iii. Procedure for cancelling games- Coaches or team managers need contact Troy with enough time (2-3 days notice) to let other teams know if 1 of our teams cannot play in a game. iv. Motion to NOT allow cancelling a game without hockey director approval except for inclement weather was given by Darren Krein and 2nd by Jeff Young. Motion carries.

e. Super Sunday Planning i. Need File made with how to plan Super Sunday to put on website ii. ? 10U/ Squirts not participating- Pat Shol will check with sponsors for the teams & see if they have any issues with this age level not participating in Super Sunday and wearing the House League jerseys on TV. If not issues, then FFHA will have Super Sunday for Mites and 8U levels only. X.

Old Business a. Rink Writer Software Update-Tabled until after the season i. Equipment that was purchased- Jeff will purchase ii. What training needs to be done? iii. When can this be implemented or tested at youth games? b. Schedule Werks Program- Tabled until after the season c. Laurissa Stigen got a punch card pass for Larry Mathison to attend the games in the future. Bantam B’s played the Fargo Angels last week. There were many issues on the ice with players and coaches.
