What would you cook to impress a bloke? Men always like meat, so maybe a good curry. I’d make my own paste and do all the sides, like an Indian feast. Have you ever had a cooking fail? Never anything major. I’m naturally very talented at cooking. Although the other day I put too much salt in a couscous and pomegranate salad, and I couldn’t eat it. We hate it when that happens! What’s your favourite tipple on a night out? I like a gin and tonic. What would you eat for your last supper? Even though I’m really into healthy eating, it would be a full-blown, slap-up Chinese takeaway. review Slug and Lettuce High street favourite Slug and Lettuce has rolled out a brand new menu across 84 branches around the country – and new! was invited to sample some of the key dishes (and cocktails – whoop!) billed as “Asian street-food joins the best of British”. We visited the London Bridge branch and indulged in the Asian platter, which comprises delicious pulled pork steamed buns, hoisin duck spring rolls and crisp butterfly king prawns. We washed it all down with a round of Strawberry Bellinis from the extensive drinks menu. Thankfully, there was still room for a cheeky salted caramel dessert. Yum! If you’re after a fun, informal and all-round tasty night out, the new menu certainly delivers.
