Press seams to the outside. Make 15 Step 2: Grab the 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” red 1 rectangles. Sew one to each side of unit 1. Press to the outside and set them aside for later. The rectangle should measure 8 1/2” x 4 1/2”. Step 3: Use the remaining 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” background (45927E) rectangles and the green 1 1 1/2” x 4 1/2” (45297G) rectangles. Sew one green 1 rectangle to either side of the background rectangle. Press seams to the outside. Make 15 Step 4: Grab the 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” green 1 rectangles. Sew one to each side of unit 2. Press to the outside and set them aside. The rectangle should measure 8 1/2” x 4 1/2”. Step 5: Grab the 2 1/2” x 61/2” and the 1 1/2” x 8 1/2” background (45927E) rectangles. Sew a 1 1/2” x 8 1/2” background rectangle to the top and bottom of each of the red and green rectangles. Sew a 2 1/2” x 6 1/2” rectangle to each side of Unit 3. Press to the outside.

Festive Elegance Step 7: We will be working with the pile A red unit 1 rectangles and the red 2 fabric (45302R). Sew a 1 1/2” x 12 1/2” strip to the top and bottom of unit 1. Sew a 2 1/2” x 8 1/2” rectangle to either side of unit 1. This is now unit 3.

Step 8: We will be working with the pile A green unit 2 rectangles and the green 2 fabric (45302G). Sew a 1 1/2” x 12 1/2” strip to the top and bottom of unit 2. Sew a 2 1/2” x 8 1/2” rectangle to either side of unit 2. This is now unit 4.
Unit 2
Step 1: Sew the blocks together in to rows alternating A and B blocks. Row 1 begins with an A block, row 2 with a B block, row 3 with an A block, row 4 with a B block and so on. Each row has 3 alternating blocks ñ Block A, Block B, Block A and so on. Step 2: Inner Border Take the 2” x WOF red 1 (45297R) and green 1 (45297G) fabrics. Measure the width of your quilt top. Cut and piece strips as needed to Twin Size Shown make a strip the right length. Sew a green strip to top and a red strip to the bottom of your quilt top. Measure the length of the quilt, cut and piece red 1 fabric strips and green 1 fabric strips together as needed to get the correct length and sew a green strip to the right side of the quilt and a red strip to the left side of the quilt. Step 9: To complete block A, sew a unit 3 and a unit 4 together as shown. This is block A. Make - A blocks

Step 10: Block B Grab the pile B red unit 1 rectangles and the red 3 (45298F) fabric. Sew a 1 1/2” x 12 1/2” strip to the top and bottom of unit 1. Sew a 2 1/2” x 8 1/2” rectangle to either side of unit 1. This is unit 5.
Block A From the outer border fabric (45296E) cut the following strips 8 - 6 1/2” x WOF Measure the width of the quilt top. Cut and piece strips as needed to make a strip the correct length. Referring to quilt image, sew one strip to the top and one to the bottom. Press to the outside.

Step 11: Grab the pile B green unit 2 rectangles and the green 3 (45299E) fabric. Sew a 1 1/2” x 12 1/2” strip to the top and bottom of unit 2. Sew a 2 1/2” x 8 1/2” rectangle to either side of unit 2. This is unit 6.
Unit 2
Measure the length of the quilt top, just as before, cut and piece as needed to make strips long enough. Referring to quilt image, sew a strip to each side of the quilt top. Layer, quilt and bind.
