FIELD TRIP GUIDE We are excited that you chose or are considering to bring your students to visit our exotic animal zoo. To assist you in preparing your students, we are providing this brief outline on each of the types of animals you will see during your visit. We encourage you to select vocabulary from these pages to review with your students and enhance the educational experience based on their educational level. During your visit, each child will receive a cup of food that they can feed to the animals either in their hand or in the provided trough. The animals enjoy this interaction. In addition, each child will be allowed to touch a small alligator during your experience.

If you have any questions prior to your visit please contact us at (318) 938-1199.

ZOOKEEPER FOR A DAY Gators & Friends is an avid supporter in our surrounding communities in motivating elementary school age children to develop a love for reading. Each month participating schools randomly select a student, from grades K through 5, who meets their reading goal for a Family 4 Pass to visit Gators & Friends with their family.

How can my student be the Zookeeper for a Day From all of those reading winners at participating schools each month, one student is selected randomly to be the Zookeeper For A Day in partnership with KTAL News 6. This student and their family will get a behind the scenes learning experience with one of the Gators Zookeepers and some other special treats, including an interview that will be shown on the evening news and also on Arklatexhomepage.com. Schools can register to participate by contacting Gators & Friends at (318) 938-1199

THANKS SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO ENHANCE YOUR STUDENTS’ LEARNING EXPERIENCE. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!
