What is Work Study? Work Study is a program that provides jobs for undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate financial needs. Work Study allows for students to earn money to assist in educational or personal expenses.
How Much is a Student Awarded? • Students with remaining unmet
needs are initially packaged with $4,600 per award year. • The student is eligible up to $2,300 per Fall and Spring semester. • Students may also work during the Summer semesters, if they are eligible.
How Many Hours Can a Student Work? We do encourage all students to
put their college education first! Students are not allowed to work during any scheduled class time Students should not exceed 20 hours per week or 40 hours per pay period.
How Do I Find a Job? Students can view part-time jobs
through the Career Development Office website, www.angelo.edu/services/career/ Student can also stop by the UREC located in the Benjamin Kelly building for job opportunities or apply on their website under “Employment”.
How Does a Student Get Paid? A student must submit a time
sheet every pay period to their supervisor. Students are paid twice a month on the 10th and 25th A student’s paycheck is direct deposit onto the student’s ASU OneCard
Educational and Personal Expenses A student can you use their
paycheck to pay on their ASU Student Accounts bill with their OneCard A student can also use their paycheck for personal expense, such as gas, rent, groceries, etc.
