Finish Your Quilt 201 Taught by Karen O’Grady In this class, you will learn what to do with your finished quilt top after it’s completed! You will learn basic free motion quilting techniques, mitered corner binding and more! Finish your quilt to look as pretty as your top. You will not be working on your actual finished quilt tops during this class. You will be working with small quilt sandwich samples to hone your skills before taking them to your finished pieces. Supplies:
Sewing Machine in good working order with new needle o Bring all your Sewing Machine feet Basic sewing notions (scissors, needles, seam ripper, etc.) Rotary cutter with new blade Rotary cutting mat (we have a few available in our classroom) Wonder Clips and straight pins (you will be using both in class) Quality quilting thread in complementary or coordinating colors 1 yard of any fabric to practice different bindings Quilting Gloves Basting Spray Curved Safety Pins
You will go over correct needles and the use of curved safety pins in class, if you would like to wait until the night of class to purchase these items. The instructor will also be providing the “quilt sandwiches” that you will be working on to practice your new skills in class.
