First, THANK YOU! Thank you for coming into our shop. I just wanted to briefly say how excited Beckie and I are to welcome you into Norton House Quilting. I know my Grandma would be overjoyed. We have been in business as a quilt shop for 51 years, and online for 20 years. My Grandmother Sue Wurzberger started the business and with her passing and blessing Beckie (assistant manager) and I, Emily Hammer will continue her legacy. Our experience in retail sales and in the quilting world brings to you, our customer, the best fabrics, books, and notions available. You will find the Norton House experience to be most enjoyable.

Directions: Cut out templates with paper scissors one at a time or even better if you bought the kit you’ll be able to cut the time down by using the cookie cutters as templates (and of course after the project has been complete, make delicious homemade butter cookies with them!)
Cookie Cutter method: (a.k.a. use this method if you bought the kit at our shop) With a chalk pencil in hand, place the cookie cutter onto the felted wool and trace. Then remove the cookie cutter and using your wicked sharp scissors cut on the edge of your lines.
Paper method: Let's use the two small pumpkins as the example, after cutting out the two “L” pumpkins, I then laid it on top of the orange felted wool and used a chalk pencil or you could use an iron-off pen. Then I cut with a wicked sharp fabric scissors and then I placed on the blue background. (I highly recommend "Perfect Scissors" by Karen Kay Buckley.)
After everything is cut out, place each of the pieces onto the blue background block as picture shown, then you’re ready to glue or pin in place. HOWEVER! Before you add the flowers into the pumpkin you will want to add the brown handle with brown or a dark color for the half-circle handle.
Second to last step, embroidery seams for the flowers using green DMC floss.
Lastly, In the tree you’ll notice I embroidered my grandparent’s initials. You can choose to do the same or not.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
