FJS Soccer, Inc. Division 2 Rules
1) Practice and game length a) 12:45pm game will have 30 minutes of practice, start by 1:15 and end by 2:15 b) Games will have 4 -12 minute quarters with 4 minutes between each quarter.
2) Rules and enforcement a) Referees will call games under the Laws of Soccer set forth by FIFA. The following exceptions will exist at this level. i) The field shall be 80 yards by 50 yards. ii) The goal will be 6’ high by 14’ wide. iii) Referees will issue warnings for an incorrect throw-in during the first half. Teams will be granted a second chance before calling for change of possession. During the second half no warning will not be given a single incorrect throw will result in loss of possession. iv) Law 12 – No INDIRECT kicks will be granted based on how a goalkeeper obtains possession of the ball. All other parts shall be enforced. v) Referees shat NOT call for an indirect kick should the goalkeeper posses the ball for more than six seconds. b) Player substitution shall only be granted by the referee to the team that holds the advantage, (possession) 3) Equipment and Safety a) All players are required without exception to wear the required safety equipment at all times, or they may not step foot on the field. b) All players in our league are required to wear shin guards and cleats. c) Goalkeepers are required to wear league supplied helmets or equivalent. d) NO jewelry shall be worn. e) Players with braces are required to wear a mouth guard. f) Removable appliances, (retainers) must either be removed or accompanied by a mouth guard. g) No hair ties or head bands, other than those made of fabric may be worn. Those made of plastic or metal must be removed before entering the field of play. h) Only league sanctioned size 4 soccer balls will be used during game play.
