Registration Information
Team captains/representatives will register by following the IM Leagues Captains’ Registration Instructions. This document can be accessed on the Intramural Website by clicking the “Registration” tab on the left side of the page and then selecting the provided hyperlink. ***Note*** Registration dates are staggered throughout the Semester and may vary depending on the sport. To ensure a team’s spot in the sport, the captain must register by the given deadline. Please see the top of the document for exact registration periods. Greek, Men’s, Women’s, Co-Rec, and Residence Hall leagues are available to sign a team up.
All registration will occur via IM Leagues beginning Monday, January 8 and will end the morning of Wednesday, February 14 at 11:00 am.
Activity Format
Teams will play two regular season games. League play begin Monday, February 19. Games are played 9:00 – 11:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. All leagues are open to currently enrolled ECU students & presently employed ECU staff. Non-SRC member faculty/staff must purchase an Intramural “Limited Pass” for $15 in order to participate.
General Information
Schedules will be posted on IMLeagues, which can be accessed through the Intramural’s webpage listed below, on Friday, February 16 by 5:00pm. Games will be played in the Indoor Pool of the Student Recreation Center. All teams will be co-rec, with at least one (1) male and one (1) female on each team. The remaining players may be designated as either male or female, at each team’s discretion.
Playoff Information
All teams that have satisfactory sportsmanship ratings, and without any combination of two forfeits and/or defaults will qualify for playoffs. Each league will have a single elimination tournament following the regular season. Playoff match-ups will be based upon the regular season computer rankings; however, the Intramural staff may modify match-ups as needed to avoid scheduling conflicts. It is the responsibility of the team captain to notify their team about playoffs. Teams may be scheduled to play on different nights during the playoffs than during the regular season. Team members that play multiple intramural activities may be scheduled to play more than one contest at the same time. If the majority of players on a team have an academic or religious scheduling conflict, or play another intramural activity that may conflict with playoff schedules, requests may be made by the team captain to the sport manager to avoid potential conflicts. least 48 hours prior to the release date of the playoff schedules. Efforts will be made to avoid these conflicts, but requests do not guarantee there will be no conflicts. ***No reschedules are allowed for a team’s first game in the playoff bracket*** Playoff schedules will be posted Friday, March 2 by 5:00pm. Playoffs will begin Tuesday, March 13.
